Educational Qualification of NIC Recruitment 2026
Computer Sciences & Information Technology
Candidates must have passed M.Sc./MS/MCA/B.E./B.Tech. in one or more of the following fields:
- Electronics

- Computer & Networking Security

- Information Technology
- Informatics
Candidates must also have a valid GATE score in CS.
Electronics & Communication Engineering
Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification in Electronics and Communication Engineering along with a valid GATE score in EC.
Data Science & Artificial Intelligence
Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence along with a valid GATE score in DA.
GATE Qualification
A valid GATE score from 2024, 2025 or 2026 is required.

Selection Process of NIC Recruitment 2026
Selection will be based on GATE Score.
- Separate category-wise merit lists will be prepared for each discipline.
- GATE 2024, 2025 and 2026 scores will receive equal weightage.
- Candidates will be shortlisted for Document Verification based on merit and vacancies.
- Final selection will be subject to successful document verification and fulfilment of all eligibility conditions.
