Educational Qualification of Assam Legislative Assembly Recruitment 2026
1. Hindi Reporter
Vacancies: 2
Monthly Pay: Rs. 35,000
Candidates must have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Diploma in Hindi Stenography with a qualifying speed of 80 words per minute.
- DTP typewriting qualification in Hindi from a recognized institution.
- At least 6 months Diploma/Certificate in Computer Application.
- Sound knowledge of Assamese and English.
- Candidates having knowledge or experience in parliamentary functioning will be given preference.
2. Hindi Translator
Vacancy: 1
Monthly Pay: Rs. 25,000
Candidates must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Hindi as one of the subjects in the degree course.
- Sound knowledge of Assamese and English literature.
- At least 6 months Diploma/Certificate in Computer Application.
- Experience in parliamentary functioning or reporting in Hindi newspapers will be preferred.
3. Bengali Translator
Vacancy: 1
Monthly Pay: Rs. 25,000
Candidates must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Bengali as one of the subjects in the degree course.
- Sound knowledge of Assamese, English and Bengali literature.
- At least 6 months Diploma/Certificate in Computer Application.
- Experience in parliamentary functioning or reporting in Bengali newspapers will be preferred.
4. Karbi Translator

Monthly Pay: Rs. 25,000
Candidates must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Sound knowledge of Assamese, English and Karbi language/literature.
- At least 6 months Diploma/Certificate in Computer Application.
- Experience in parliamentary functioning or reporting in Karbi newspapers will be preferred.
Age Limit of Assam Legislative Assembly Recruitment 2026
Candidates must be at least 21 years old and not more than 40 years old as on 1 January 2026.
