Eligibility Criteria of UPSC CMS Recruitment 2024
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed both the written and practical parts of the final M.B.B.S. Examination to be eligible for the Combined Medical Services Examination 2024.
Physical and Medical Standards
Candidates must be physically and mentally fit according to the physical/ medical standards for the Combined Medical Services Examination, 2024 as per regulations.
Age Limit
Candidates must have attained the age of 32 years of age as of August 1, 2024, for most services/posts in the Combined Medical Services Examination 2024.
However, for Medical Officers Grade in General Duty Medical Officers Sub-cadre of Central Health Services, the upper age limit is 35 years.

Selection Process of UPSC CMS Recruitment 2024
Selection process for UPSC Combined Medical Services 2024 exam consists of two stages which are described below:-
1. Written Examination
- Mode: Objective (Multiple Choice Questions)
- Duration: 2 hours per paper
- Papers: Paper I (General Medicine and Paediatrics), Paper II (Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Preventive & Social Medicine)
- Total Marks: Each paper is of 250 marks
- Questions: 120 questions per paper
- Medium: English
2. Personality Test
- Mode: Face-to-face interview
- Total Marks: 100 marks
- Medium: English
