Educational Qualification
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geology, Mathematics, Geo-informatics, Physics, Computer Science or related field with Certificate/Diploma in GIS & Remote Sensing/Geo-informatics
OR - M.Tech./M.Sc. in GIS & Remote Sensing/Geo-informatics; MCA; M.A/M.Sc. in Geography/Geology/Mathematics/Environmental Science with Geo-informatics as a subject or relevant certificate/diploma
Desirable:
- Proficiency in GIS software: ArcGIS, QGIS, Global Mapper, etc.
- Familiarity with spatial data formats like Shapefiles, GeoJSON, KML
- Knowledge of geospatial analysis, drone survey data collection, image processing
- Effective communication skills, teamwork, ability to prioritize tasks
Age Limit
Applicants must be at least 21 years old and not more than 45 years of age as on 1st January 2025. The age will be verified based on the Matriculation/HSLC Admit Card or Pass Certificate issued by a recognized Board or Council. No other document will be accepted as proof of age.
Experience & Skills
- Preference for candidates with minimum 2 years relevant GIS work experience
- RCCC trained candidates with command over GIS will be given preference
- Skills in Arc Desktop, Arc Pro, AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs
- Fluency in Assamese, Hindi, and English
Job Responsibilities of GIS Assistant Recruitment Morigaon
- Digitizing geospatial data of cadastral and non-cadastral villages
- Performing quality checks on GIS data to ensure accuracy
- Preparing GIS-based reports, presentations, and visualizations
- Providing technical GIS support to teams and end-users
- Drone photo interpretation, documentation of GIS processes, and staying updated on GIS best practice
