Pay Scale of Soil Conservation Ranger Recruitment

Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary in the Pay Band-3:

  • Pay Scale: Rs. 22,000 – Rs. 97,000
  • Grade Pay: Rs. 9,700
  • Other Allowances: As per Assam Government rules

Nationality & Domicile

  • Must be an Indian Citizen (as defined in Articles 5–8 of the Constitution).
  • Must be a permanent resident of Assam.
  • Proof required: Permanent Resident Certificate or valid Employment Exchange Registration Certificate.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Science with at least one subject among Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Geology, Forestry, or Environmental Science
    OR
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, or Civil Engineering from a recognized university.

Age Limit (as of 01.01.2025)

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age: 38 years
  • Relaxation:
    • SC/ST: up to 43 years
    • OBC/MOBC: up to 41 years
    • Ex-Servicemen: up to 50 years (with further relaxation as applicable)
    • PwBD: Additional 10 years

Physical Fitness Requirements

  • Male Candidates:
    • Height: Minimum 155 cm
    • Chest: 84 cm (with 5 cm expansion)
    • Physical Test: 25 km walk in 4 hours
  • Female Candidates:
    • Height: Minimum 145 cm
    • Chest: 79 cm (with 5 cm expansion)
    • Physical Test: 16 km walk in 4 hours
  • Must be mentally and physically fit, and produce medical and character certificates from relevant authorities.

Other Requirements:

  • Candidates must comply with Small Family Norms and submit the declaration (Form A).
  • Government employees must upload a certificate of employment or No Objection Certificate (NOC).
  • PwBD candidates must possess and upload a valid disability certificate.

3. Paper-III & IV: Optional Subjects

  • Marks: 200 each
