NEET Application Form 2024: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) serves as the gateway for undergraduate medical programs across all medical institutions in India administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA), NEET UG Exam is typically conducted annually, enabling admission into various courses such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS and BHMS throughout the country.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the official notification for the online application process of the NEET exam for the year 2024. Prospective candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are invited to apply online. According to the official announcement, NEET-UG 2024 is scheduled to take place on 5th May, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria for NEET Application Form 2024
Educational Qualification
Applicants must have successfully completed (or be in the process of completing) the class 10+2 examination or its equivalent, with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as individual subjects, from a recognised board or university. The minimum required marks are as follows:
- General – 50%
- Persons with Disabilities – 40%
- SC/ST/OBC – 40%
Age Limit
Applicants must be atleast 17 years old at the time of admission or will reach that age on or before 31st December of the year of their admission to the first year of the Undergraduate Medical Courses. Thus, the youngest eligible candidates must be born or before 31st December, 2007. There is no maximum age limit for applying to NEET-UG.

About NEET-UG
The NEET (UG) is being conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) since 2019 with the approval of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of Human Resource Development (which is now known as the Ministry of Education), in pursuance of the direction of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India vide Judgement dated 22.11. 2018 in C.A. No. 11230 of 2018 in the matter of CBSE Vs. T.K. Rangarajan & Ors. (Para 22).
As per Section 14 of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, the NEET (UG) has to be conducted as a common and uniform National Eligibility-cum- Entrance Test [(NEET (UG)] for admission to undergraduate medical education in all medical institutions. Similarly, as per Section 14 of the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine Act, 2020, there shall be a uniform NEET (UG) for admission to undergraduate courses in each of the disciplines i.e. BAMS, BUMS, and BSMS courses of the Indian System of Medicine in all Medical Institutions governed under this Act. NEET (UG) shall also be applicable to admission to BHMS course as per National Commission for Homeopathy Act, 2020.

Pattern for NEET-UG Examination 2024
The Test pattern of NEET (UG) – 2024 comprises four Subjects. Each subject will consist of two sections. Section A will consist of 35 Questions and Section B will have 15 Questions, out of these 15 Questions, candidates can choose to attempt any 10 Questions. So, the total number of questions and utilization of time will remain the same.
