Eligibility Criteria for Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 20 and 28 years of age as on 1st September 2026.
Candidates must have been born:
- Not earlier than 02 September 1998
- Not later than 01 September 2006

Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
Candidates must have passed their graduation:
- Not earlier than 01 January 2023
- Not later than 01 September 2026

Local Language Requirement
Candidates who produce a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/certificate showing that they studied the specified local language will not have to undergo the local language test.
For other candidates, a local language test will be conducted during the document verification process. Candidates who fail to qualify in the local language test will not be engaged as apprentices.
Physical/Medical Fitness
The engagement of selected apprentices will be subject to the candidate being declared medically fit as per the requirements of Canara Bank.

Selection Process of Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment
The state-wise merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in 12th Standard (HSC/10+2) or Diploma.
Candidates with higher percentages will be placed higher in the merit list. If two candidates have the same percentage, the older candidate will be placed higher.
The minimum required marks are:
- General Candidates: 60%
- SC/ST/PwBD Candidates: 55%
Percentages will not be rounded off. For example, 59.99% will not qualify for the 60% requirement.
The merit list will be prepared based on the information provided in the online application. Any discrepancy found during document verification may result in cancellation of candidature.
