Vacancy Details of Historical and Antiquarian Studies Recruitment 2025
1. Supervisor
- No. of Posts: 5
- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in History, Archaeology, Anthropology, Sanskrit, Assamese, Geography, Museology, or allied fields from a recognized university. Minimum 3 years of experience in field research, heritage documentation, or cultural project coordination. (Master’s degree preferred.)
- Age Limit: 35 – 60 years
- Monthly Pay: Rs. 30,000/-
2. Documentation & Conservation Expert
- No. of Posts: 5
- Qualification: Master’s degree in History, Sanskrit, Archaeology, Library & Information Science, Museology, Archival Studies, Art History, or Chemistry. At least 3 years of experience in manuscript documentation or heritage projects. Should be able to read old Assamese, Sanskrit, or Tai scripts.
- Age Limit: 35 – 55 years
- Monthly Pay: Rs. 25,000/-
3. Field Investigator
- No. of Posts: 40
- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in History, Sanskrit, Assamese, Anthropology, Archaeology, Folklore, or relevant subjects. Candidates with fieldwork or cultural documentation experience will be given preference. Must be willing to travel across rural Assam.
- Age Limit: Up to 35 years
- Monthly Pay: Rs. 20,000/-
4. Photographer
- No. of Posts: 2
- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Photography, Videography, Media Production, or Visual Communication. Minimum 2 years of experience in photography/videography related to cultural or academic documentation. Must know DSLR operation, lighting, and editing software like Adobe Lightroom or Premiere Pro.
- Age Limit: Up to 40 years
- Monthly Pay: Rs. 20,000/-
5. Assistant Conservator/Preservator
- No. of Posts: 2
- Qualification: Master’s or Diploma in Conservation, Museology, Art Conservation, Heritage Studies, Chemistry, or related disciplines. 1–3 years of hands-on experience in conservation of manuscripts or artworks preferred. Knowledge of indigenous preservation materials like sanchi-pat or palm-leaf manuscripts is desirable.
